PHOENIX – Big Lots will be closing over a dozen of its Arizona stores, a product of the company’s plans to shut down multiple locations across the country. Thirteen locations across the Grand Canyon State are planned to close sometime this year. Human remains found by hiker on South Mountain
PHOENIX — A hiker found human remains while on South Mountain Saturday morning, officials with the Phoenix Police Department said. As part of a crackdown by the Glendale Police Department's new "Street Racing Task Force," a 20-year-old man identified as Christian Valentino Moreno has been nabbed for his alleged daredevil antics on an off-road motorcycle. According to an official report, on the evening of July 19, 2024, a motor officer attempted to pull over Moreno for reckless driving within city bounds. However, the situation escalated when Moreno chose to not stop and engage to recklessly evade the police, which eventually caused the officers to terminate the pursuit for safety reasons.
