The landscape of housing on San Antonio's South Side is poised for a significant shift with the introduction of its first affordable and senior housing projects at the growing Brooks community—a reinvention of the former Brooks Air Force Base. According to a report by the San Antonio Report, the San Antonio Housing Trust Public Facility Corp. green-lit the construction of two complexes slated for residents earning below the median income. Sageland Flats, with 338 apartments, and Cedar Ridge Terrace, offering 239 units for low-income seniors, expanding housing options for a broader spectrum of the city's populace.

Texas man charged with OWI after I380 traffic stop
A San Antonio Texas man was taken into custody early Thursday after allegedly being observed driving while intoxicated. A Sheriff’s deputy was traveling on I380 northbound near Swisher just after 2 am when he reportedly noticed 28-year-old Ba Gay leaving the lane of travel several times while speeding. New features, improvements will be unveiled at Paul Peña Park
The city of San Marcos invites residents and community members to attend the ribbon cutting ceremony of the Paul Peña Park improvement project. Since mid-June, city contractors have been working on replacing playground equipment, adding shade and turf, and extending the sidewalk to create an ADA-compliant loop around the park.
