PASADENA, Calif. – A woman was dragged away from the train track and then thrown into the carpool lane on the 210 Freeway in Pasadena. The incident, which happened near Los Angeles Metro's Allen station on August 7, left the woman with deep cuts to her face and head that required stapes. The Orange Police Department will be conducting a DUI/Driver’s License Checkpoint August 23, 2024, at 1200 East Katella Avenue between the hours of 7:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. DUI Checkpoints like this one are placed in locations based on collision statistics and frequency of DUI arrests. Officers will be looking for signs of alcohol and/or drug impairment, with officers checking drivers for proper licensing.
