Erratic Behavior Leads to Fatal Shooting in West Las Vegas (Video)
In a tragic event early this morning, a man was shot and killed at an apartment complex in the historic West Las Vegas area. The incident occurred near Vegas Drive and Martin Luther King Boulevard. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) responded to reports of a man behaving erratically in the area, leading to a confrontation that resulted in the man’s death.
Yucca Valley “ghost gun” seized during van search and arrests
Two convicted felons were arrested on suspicion of having a “ghost gun” in Yucca Valley. On Thursday morning (August 15) around 4 a.m., a deputy from the Sheriff’s Morongo Basin Station conducted a security check on an occupied van parked near the intersection of Balsa Ave and Maki Ave in Yucca Valley. Deputies report finding Jesse Palacios, 29, and Bronte Granell, 32, on a bed in the van. Deputies determined that both Palacios and Granell were convicted felons, and Palacios was currently on parole.
