After three schools were evacuated due to bomb threats Thursday morning, the Northwest Local School District has lifted lockdowns at all other schools in the district.

Colerain High School, Northwest High School and White Oak Middle School were emailed bomb threats around 7:30 a.m., said Lyndsey Creecy, the district's public information coordinator.

All schools have been swept and cleared by the Colerain Police Department. Any additional communication for these three buildings will come directly from the schools, according to a statement on the district's website.

High school students who had cars were instructed to drive home. Walkers and children who were picked up by parents were also dismissed.

The other eight schools in the district remained in session and were locked down. The lockdown has since been lifted. Students at those schools will return to their regularly scheduled activities in and out of the classroom.
