Regarding the Superintendent Iranetta Wright fiasco, hiring someone who was second in command of a school system perennially last in the nation, according to government statistics, lies at the feet of the Cincinnati Public Schools board. Brilliant. High-fiving first-graders in classrooms is a great media visual, contrived and calculated. Unfortunately, Wright was hired for the very demanding job of managing and navigating the financial and political pitfalls of a large school system. She was not up to that job and the unions' no-confidence votes made that clear. The school board needs an overhaul too.
