    Study claims this is Ohio's favorite DQ Blizzard flavor. Do you agree?

    The dog days of summer are here. It's hot and humid, and millions of Ohioans are cooling off with their favorite ice cream.

    Researchers at Grand Canyon University are taking that idea another step, looking into the most popular flavor of Dairy Queen's Blizzard for each state. Here's what they found.

    What's the top Dairy Queen Blizzard flavor in Ohio?

    Using 20 years' worth of Google Trends search data, GCU has found that the most popular Blizzard flavor in Ohio is the Turtle Pecan Cluster , made with "pecan pieces, chocolatey shavings and rich caramel," according to DQ's website.

    The flavor is also the most popular in the country, being the top search in 13 states. Coming in second, with 11 states, is the Oreo Cookie Blizzard. Third is the Reese's PB Cup Blizzard (eight states), then Cotton Candy (seven states), then Royal NY Cheesecake (four states). Coming in last is the M&M's® Milk Chocolate Candies Blizzard, which is the most searched in Delaware.
