MASON, Ohio − The Cincinnati Open trudged through multiple rain delays on Friday at the Lindner Family Tennis Center but not without some controversy during the evening session in a Round of 16 match between Felix Auger-Aliassime and Jack Draper.

With Draper serving with match point in the third set, Auger-Aliassime hit a shot just over the net. Draper charged on the shot and attempted a volley, but it appeared he hit the ball into the ground, causing it to bounce back into his racket and over the net.

The "Draper Double Bounce" should have been a point for Auger-Aliassime, but chair umpire Greg Allensworth awarded the point to Draper and the match was over.

Auger-Aliassime pleaded his case after the match, but to no avail. His tournament was over, and Draper advanced to Saturday's quarterfinals to face Holger Rune.

Here's what social media though of the controversial finish.
