    Here are the top 25 sophomore volleyball players in Greater Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky

    Greater Cincinnati is loaded with volleyball talent in the class of 2027.

    Almost every player in the top 25 led her team or her conference in a major statistical category as a freshman. Some made all-league honors. A few were main contributors to teams that were among the best in the state in 2023.

    Below are The Enquirer's top 25 sophomores in Greater Cincinnati volleyball going into the 2024 season.

    25. Miya Nance ‒ OH/S, Wilmington

    Nance earned second-team all-conference recognition in 2023 as she recorded 124 kills, 68 digs and 47 blocks.

    24. Chloe McIntosh ‒ MH, Walton-Verona

    McIntosh tied for the Bearcats' team lead in sets played as a freshman in 2023. She finished second on the team with 172 kills and added 60 digs and 14 service aces.

    23. Annie Allen ‒ DS, Walton-Verona

    Allen was all over the floor for the Bearcats as a freshman, recording 241 digs, 16 assists and 11 service aces.

    22. Clare Lutes ‒ DS, Madeira

    Lutes was a strong all-around player for Madeira in 2023 as she contributed 202 digs, 56 service aces and 42 assists.

    21. Rachel King ‒ MB/RH, Ryle

    King finished second on the Raiders team in blocks with 41 last season. She also chipped in over 100 kills for Ryle, which made the Ninth Region semifinals.

    20. Emme Moser ‒ DS, Fenwick

    One of three Fenwick sophomores on this list, Moser finished second on the state title runners-up Falcons with 248 digs in 2023.

    19. Tessa Jewell ‒ S/RS, St. Bernard

    Jewell earned second-team all-conference honors in the Miami Valley Conference Gray Division in 2023 as one of the best servers and all-around players in the league. She finished with 98 service aces and recorded 128 digs 120 assists and 54 kills.

    18. Jenna Brown ‒ S, Clermont Northeastern

    Brown earned first-team all-conference honors as a freshman, leading the Rockets with 281 assists and finishing second with 114 digs. She also had 21 service aces.

    17. Jordyn Reckers ‒ DS/L, Newport Central Catholic

    According to MaxPreps, Reckers finished top five among Kentucky freshmen in 2023 for digs (271) and assists (68) and top 20 for service aces with 28. She and her sisters Paytin and Kori were all top contributors for Newport Central Catholic last season, but Kori has graduated and will play for West Virginia State in 2024.

    16. Jackie Katuska ‒ S/OH, Seven Hills

    Katuska helped lead Seven Hills to a 12-0 conference record and an MVC title as a freshman. She finished with 87 service aces along with 171 assists, 138 kills and 61 digs on her way to first-team all-conference honors.

    15. Abby Beach ‒ S, Deer Park

    Beach earned second-team All-Cincinnati Hills League honors as a freshman, recording 254 assists, 96 digs, 19 service aces and 41 kills.

    14. Lilly Tierney ‒ MB/OH, McNicholas

    Tierney earned Greater Catholic League-Coed All-League honorable mention honors as a freshman, one of three McNicholas freshmen to be recognized. She finished second in the league with 78 blocks, and she added 125 kills and 64 digs.

    13. Sam Long ‒ MB/RS, Fenwick

    Long finished second on Fenwick in kills with 128, behind only another freshman Morgan Meiring. She also had 53 blocks. Long, Meiring and Moser ensure a bright future for the Falcons volleyball program.

    12. Addison Warth ‒ DS/L, Cooper

    Warth led Cooper with 379 digs, playing nearly every set as a freshman.

    11. Jillian Turvey ‒ MB, CHCA

    Turvey led the MVC in blocks with 62 on her way to second-team all-conference honors. She also contributed 135 kills (and a strong .520 kill percentage).

    10. Macee Steele ‒ S/OPP, Goshen

    Steele was first-team all-conference last season as she led Goshen with 406 assists and 47 service aces while contributing 244 digs and 71 kills.

    9. Trysta Leach ‒ S, Princeton

    Princeton volleyball didn't have a great season in 2023, but Leach is a good reason for the Vikings to have hope. She led the team by a wide margin with 376 assists (the next closest player had 17) and added 137 digs and 30 service aces.

    8. Jillian Forrest ‒ S, Ursuline

    Forrest was top ten in the Girls' Greater Catholic League for blocks as a freshman in 2023 with 57, and she also recorded 104 kills.

    7. Kendall Hubbard ‒ S/OH, Mount Notre Dame

    Hubbard made second-team all-league in the GGCL in 2023, as she finished fifth in the conference with 496 assists and added 150 digs, 41 kills, 28 service aces and 20 blocks.

    6. Morgan Meiring ‒ OH, Fenwick

    Meiring finished fourth in the GCL-Coed and first on Fenwick in kills (327) on her way to first-team all-league honors. She also had 215 digs, 50 service aces and 21 blocks, helping the Falcons to a second-place finish.

    5. Evie Schiller ‒ OH, Madeira

    Schiller led Madeira and finished top three in the CHL in kills (201) and digs (224) last season, also recording 61 service aces, 35 assists and 15 blocks.

    4. Kylie Stutzman ‒ S, Taylor

    Stutzman contributed to nearly every facet of the game in her first year on varsity, finishing with 538 assists, 175 digs, 121 kills, 57 service aces and 23 blocks on her way to first-team All-CHL honors.

    3. Lucy Lenihan ‒ S, Holy Cross

    Lenihan led Holy Cross in assists by a wide margin with 568 assists, and she also added 203 digs, 50 kills and 17 blocks. Holy Cross won 16 of its first 18 games last season but ended up losing in the first round of the district playoffs.

    2. Savanna Stacey ‒ OH, McNicholas

    The GCL-Coed was loaded with great freshmen in 2023, but Stacey was arguably the best. She finished second in the league with 339 kills and added 285 digs, 47 service aces and 23 blocks on her way to first-team all-league honors and nearly a state championship.

    1. Ali Strange ‒ L/DS, McNicholas

    Strange led the GCL-Coed in digs with 445 as a freshman, helping to earn her second-team all-League honors. She also chipped in 84 assists and 41 service aces as McNicholas made it to the Division III state title game. She was the only player on this list named to the USA Today Network's 2024 preseason All-Ohio girls volleyball team .
