The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Louisville Field Division is offering up to $10,000 for information regarding the burglaries of two Northern Kentucky firearm stores last weekend, according to a news release.

On Saturday, at approximately 4:30 a.m., a car forced entry through the front door of Triggers Firearms, located at 151 Lloyd Ave. in Florence. Six people stole "several firearms" before leaving in a sedan.

On Sunday, at approximately 3:30 a.m., a car forced entry through the wall of Range USA, located at 7551 Mall Road in Florence, the release said. Six people stole "a large number of firearms" before leaving in a sedan.

ATF Louisville Field Division is offering up to $5,000 for information leading to the identification and arrest of the person or people responsible for the burglaries, the release said.

The National Shooting Sports Foundation, the trade association for the firearms industry, will match the bureau's reward as part of a larger national cooperative initiative.

Officials are asking the public to report information about the crime by calling 888-283-8477 or emailing ATFTips@atf.gov.

They also said to include as many details as possible and one's contact information if seeking a reward.

For a person to receive the reward, the information must lead to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the burglary, the release added.

Anonymous tips can be sent via the reportit® app using ATF Louisville Field Division as the location, the release said. The app is available through the Google Play Store, Apple App Store and at www.reportit.com .

The filed division and the Florence Police Department are jointly investigating the burglaries.
