Defensive end Myles Murphy and punter Brad Robbins were moved to injured reserve Tuesday. Murphy suffered a knee sprain in joint practice with the Indianapolis Colts and Robbins left practice two weeks ago while limping.

All 32 NFL teams must cut their rosters to 53 players by 4 p.m. Tuesday. Teams will look to add depth before the deadline and can make trades or other roster moves to sign players after the deadline.
It's no surprise that rookies like defensive end Cedric Johnson, center Matt Lee and safety Daijahn Anthony are on track to make the projected 53-man roster . They were three of the Bengals' top performers during the preseason, and they all have a path toward a role in Week 1.

The Bengals have already moved on from Jackson Carman, D'Ante Smith is out for the year and Trey Hill was released Tuesday. As a result, the Bengals could enter the year with a new wave of backups.

Former Chicago Bears defensive end Khalid Kareem: Kareem was initially drafted by the Bengals, who could use more depth after losing Cam Sample to a season-ending injury and Jeff Gunter to retirement.
Former New England Patriots defensive tackle Mike Purcell: He's an experienced run-stuffing nose tackle, which is a position where the Bengals don't have many options.
