Joe Burrow hilariously changes Instagram profile pic, appears to give major side-eye

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow is staring down the competition in his new Instagram profile picture.

Burrow recently switched to a photo showing himself give major side-eye, during what appeared to be a conversation with reporters. The popular NFL fan account MLFootball said Wednesday he made the change after receiver Ja'Marr Chase posted the same photo to his Instagram Story.

Twitter/X users had mixed reactions to the switch.

"Great to see my wr and qb on same page," one person wrote , while someone else said, "He’s winning MVP and a chip it’s time."

Others, though, just hope Chase is out on the field with Burrow soon.

"All I know he better be out there week 1," one X user wrote .

Chase is seeking a contract extension from the Bengals with two years left on his current rookie deal. He arrived to practice 13 minutes after it started Wednesday, not in uniform, and he didn't participate. Head coach Zac Taylor says the Bengals are in a “day-to-day” situation with Chase.

The Bengals open their season against the New England Patriots at Paycor Stadium on Sunday, Sept. 8.
