Joe Mixon has 159 rushing yards in his Houston Texans debut after seven Cincinnati seasons

Former Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon had a memorable regular-season debut for the Houston Texans , rushing 30 times for 159 yards with one touchdown in a season-opening 29-27 win against the Indianapolis Colts .

Mixon, who was traded to Houston in March after playing his first seven NFL seasons for Cincinnati, added three receptions for 19 receiving yards.

Mixon's 159-yard rushing effort gave him his biggest game on the ground since he had 162 rushing yards against Cleveland in December 2019. His only other game with more than 160 rushing yards came against Pittsburgh in November 2021, when he had a career-best 165 in the Bengals' 41-10 win.
