    Who is moderating the Harris-Trump debate? What to know about David Muir and Linsey Davis

    Former President Donald Trump will face off against Vice President Kamala Harris in the first presidential debate between the two candidates on Sept. 10 in Philadelphia at the National Constitution Center. ABC News will host the presidential faceoff.

    ABC's David Muir and Linsey Davis are set to moderate the debate, which will last 90 minutes. The moderators will be the only ones asking questions, as outlined in ABC's official debate rules .

    Here's what to know about presidential debate moderators David Muir and Linsey Davis, plus details about the upcoming debate.

    Who is David Muir?

    David Muir is the host of "World News Tonight," and co-anchor of ABC’s "20/20" broadcast, having been with the network for more than two decades, according to ABC . Muir moderated presidential primary debates in 2016 and 2020.

    The anchor is from Syracuse, New York, and attended Ithaca College, the Institute on Political Journalism at Georgetown University, and studied at the University of Salamanca in Spain.

    Who is Linsey Davis?

    The other member of the presidential moderator duo, Linsey Davis , is the "World News Tonight" Sunday anchor and ABC News Live "Prime" anchor. Davis has been with ABC since 2007 and moderated Democratic presidential debates in 2019 and 2020.

    The two-time Emmy Award winner has authored six children’s books. She attended the University of Virginia and obtained her master's degree from New York University.

    When is the Harris-Trump presidential debate?

    The debate is on Tuesday, Sept. 10, at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia.

    What time is debate?

    The debate will begin at 9 p.m. ET and last 90 minutes with two commercial breaks.

    Where to watch the Harris-Trump debate

    ABC News says that the debate will air live on ABC. Viewers can stream live on the 24/7 streaming network ABC News Live, Disney+ and Hulu, and will be available for simulcast.

    What are the rules of the debate?

    Mics will be muted when a candidate is not speaking, there will be no audience or opening statements from the two candidates, and candidates will not know the questions beforehand. ABC News provided a full list of debate rules to be followed on Tuesday.
