Arizona Cardinals right tackle Jonah Williams, who played his first four NFL seasons for the Cincinnati Bengals and was the team's first-round pick (11th overall) in the 2019 NFL draft, is expected to miss some time after suffering a knee injury during the first quarter of his first regular-season game for the Cardinals, according to a report Tuesday night from ESPN's Jeremy Fowler .

Williams reached a two-year deal with the Cardinals in March. The Bengals signed free agent Trent Brown several days later.

Williams played in 60 regular-season games for the Bengals from 2020 to 2023.

Williams missed his entire rookie season after undergoing left shoulder surgery to repair a torn labrum in June 2019.

Williams was carted off the field with a knee injury during the fourth quarter against Miami in December 2020. He missed the final four games of the season.

He injured his left knee during the second quarter of a playoff game against Baltimore in 2023.

The Bengals are not scheduled to play the Cardinals this season.
