Frankie Beverly , founder of the soul-funk band Maze, has died. He was 77.

His family announced his death on the official Frankie Beverly and Maze Facebook page Wednesday. The "Before I Let Go" singer was a longtime headliner of Cincinnati Music Festival . Beverly last performed at the festival in 2019 in front of a crowd of 37,500 people.
