The Kansas City Chiefs were fined $100,000 for a sideline altercation during their Thursday night game September 5 in NFL Week 1 against the Baltimore Ravens according to a report Saturday from NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

The Chiefs host the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday.

Chiefs tight end Peyton Hendershot, who was inactive for the game against Baltimore, pushed Ravens linebacker Roquan Smith on the Kansas City sideline after Smith hit quarterback Patrick Mahomes out of bounds during the fourth quarter. Smith wasn't flagged for a penalty .

Pelissero reported that the league disciplined the team after an August memo sent to clubs reminding them that non-player personnel and non-participant players are prohibited from making "unnecessary physical contact with, or taunting or directing abusive, threatening or insulting language or gestures at opponents, game officials or representatives of the league."

Hendershot, is not on the Chiefs' injury report for Sunday's game against Cincinnati, was fined $5,472 for the sideline push of Smith, according to Pelissero.
