Why did Cris Collinsworth say Joe Mixon has never fumbled during Texans-Bears 4th quarter?

Houston Texans running back Joe Mixon, who played his first seven NFL seasons for the Cincinnati Bengals , wasn't in the game during a key fourth-quarter drive for the Texans on Sunday night against the Chicago Bears when backup Cam Akers lost a fumble.

" Joe Mixon has never fumbled, to the best of my knowledge," NBC color analyst and former Bengals receiver Cris Collinsworth said during the broadcast. "And he was unable to be in there in that key moment."

Mixon has fumbled six times. He was injured earlier in the second half on a tackle by the Bears' T.J. Edwards that play-by-play announcer Mike Tirico suggested should have been penalized for a hip-drop tackle.

Mixon went to the locker room with an apparent ankle injury. He was back in the game briefly, but returned to the sideline for the rest of the fourth quarter.
