Here's how Andy Dalton has done against the Bengals, his team for nine NFL seasons

The Cincinnati Bengals have started an NFL season with an 0-3 record for the first time since 2019, the season before quarterback Joe Burrow's rookie year.

Their starting QB in 2019, Andy Dalton, likely will start on Sunday for the Carolina Panthers , the Bengals' NFL Week 4 opponent.

That was Dalton's final season in Cincinnati. He has since played for the Dallas Cowboys , Chicago Bears , New Orleans Saints and Carolina. And his meeting Sunday with the Bengals would be his fourth with four different teams.

Dalton, Cincinnati's starting QB from 2011 to 2019, completed 26-of-37 attempts for 319 yards with three touchdowns in Carolina's Week 3 win against Las Vegas.

How the first three Dalton-vs-Bengals meetings went:

December 13, 2020: Dalton leads Dallas to a 30-7 win in Cincinnati

Dalton completed 16-of-23 attempts for 185 passing yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions against Zac Taylor's Bengals in Cincinnati.

Burrow, injured earlier in the season against Washington, did not play. Bengals backup QB Brandon Allen had 217 passing yards with a TD.

September 19, 2021: Dalton helps Bears to a 20-17 win vs. Bengals in Chicago

The Bears replaced Dalton with then-rookie Justin Fields after Dalton hurt his knee at the end of a second-quarter run.

An MRI later confirmed a bone bruise.

Before the injury, Dalton completed nine of 11 attempts for 56 yards with a touchdown, adding two carries for 25 rushing yards.

Bengals safety Vonn Bell was fined $10,300 for taunting Dalton.

    October 16, 2022: Dalton's Saints fall to Burrow's Bengals, 30-26, at Superdome

Dalton completed 17-of-32 for 162 passing yards with a touchdown. Burrow was 28-of-37 with 300 yards with three touchdowns, and a rushing TD.

Burrow's game-winning, 60-yard touchdown pass to Ja'Marr Chase came with 1:57 left in the game.

The Saints reported after the game that Dalton suffered a back injury during the loss to the Bengals.

Dalton ranks second behind Ken Anderson among Cincinnati's all-time leaders in passing yardage.
