Carolina Panthers quarterback Andy Dalton was named FedEx Player of the Week for NFL Week 3, ahead of his expected meeting Sunday with his former team, the Cincinnati Bengals .

Dalton and the Bengals' Joe Burrow are the only two NFL quarterbacks to pass for at least 300 yards with three touchdowns in a game this season.

Dalton, Cincinnati's starting QB from 2011 to 2019, completed 26-of-37 attempts for 319 yards with three TDs in Carolina's Week 3 win against Las Vegas. Dalton was named before the game as Carolina's starter, replacing 2023 No. 1 draft pick Bryce Young.

Dalton's showdown Sunday with the Bengals would be his fourth with four different teams since Cincinnati released Dalton in April 2020.

Dalton ranks second behind Ken Anderson among the Bengals' all-time leaders in passing yardage.
