Many shared opinions on social media Wednesday night about whether it was acceptable for the Cincinnati Reds ' TJ Friedl to bunt for a single to break up a combined perfect game in the top of the 7th inning against the Guardians in Cleveland.

The Reds trailed just 2-0 when Friedl stepped to the plate to lead off the inning. The bunt single came against Tim Herrin, Cleveland's sixth pitcher of the game.

The Cleveland Guardians ' official Twitter account called it "Kentucky Reds behavior."

"Nothing wrong with this whatsoever," former Reds fan favorite Todd Frazier said via Twitter of Friedl's bunt.
