Cincinnati Bengals defensive end Trey Hendrickson suffered a injury during the fourth quarter of the NFL Week 4 game against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday at Charlotte's Bank of America Stadium.

The Bengals announced that Hendrickson injured his neck , and declared him out.

Hendrickson stayed down at the end of a play, after a collision with fellow defensive end Sam Hubbard. He was attended to on the field by the team's medical staff for several minutes, and walked off the field under his own power, surrounded by medical personnel.

"That's a tough loss for the Bengals right now," Fox color analyst Daryl Johnston said during the broadcast.

Earlier in the game, Hendrickson hit Panthers quarterback Andy Dalton's arm as he threw a pass intercepted by Bengals defensive back Vonn Bell.
