The NFL announced Thursday that a fan didn't intentionally spill a drink on Bengals running back Chase Brown after the team's NFL Week 4 win against the Carolina Panthers in Charlotte.

"The league's review of the matter determined that portions of a drink were accidentally spilled on the Cincinnati player as Bengals fans attempted to catch the gloves he tossed to them," NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy said in a statement. "The league analyzed video of multiple angles from stadium security cameras and also social media."

The drink spilled onto Brown as he left the field and walked toward the locker room with teammates at Bank of America Stadium.

Video via Twitter from Marshall Kramsky:

"It would suck if people are doing stuff with intent," Brown said, per ESPN's Ben Baby . "Honestly happier it's a Bengals fan, too. I'm just glad they got the gloves at the end of the day."
