    How are Trump and Harris doing in Ohio and other key states? Here's what polls show

    National polls indicate a tight race between former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris leading up to election day on Nov. 5, less than four weeks out.

    While poll averages constantly change, they reveal a glimpse into the current state of the presidential race, both in Ohio and other key states. In the final stretch of campaigning, the stakes for who takes on the role of commander in chief increase by the day.

    Who will be the next president and vice president of the United States: Harris and Walz, or Trump and Vance? Here's what the polls can tell us, and how the candidates are polling in several swing states.

    Which candidate is ahead in Ohio right now?

    As of Oct. 11, Ohio's FiveThirtyEight polling average shows Trump leading by over 7 points. Trump sits at 51.3%, while Harris closely trails behind at 43.6%.

    Polling averages in battleground states

    Here is a look at three polling averages for the presidential race nationally and in seven key battleground states as of Oct. 10, starting with two of Ohio's neighbors.

    Michigan (15 electoral votes)

    Pennsylvania (19 electoral votes)

    Arizona (11 electoral votes)
