Social media reacts to Skyline-flavored Graeter's ice cream: 'The apocalypse is upon us'

Social media went into a frenzy Tuesday , after a listing for Graeter's Skyline Chili-flavored ice cream emerged on Kroger's website.

The listing described the treat as a "daring fusion of flavors," adding that the ice cream was infused with chili spices. It also said crunchy oyster crackers and shreds of cheese were swirled throughout the ice cream, providing a "tangy contrast to the sweet treat."

The listing was removed from Kroger's site by Wednesday afternoon.

In a statement to The Enquirer, Sarah Sicking, vice president of marketing and brand engagement at Skyline Chili, confirmed the chain "is excited to be working on a fun collaboration with (its) spice blend and Graeter’s ice cream."

However, she added, "We are in the research and development phase with Graeter’s, and we hope it's ready next year."

Sarah Walters – senior director of public relations for Rmd Advertising, which represents Graeter's – told The Enquirer the Skyline ice cream "flavor was concept art and is not available or in production."

The Enquirer reached out to Kroger and is awaiting a response.

While it appears fans may have to wait for a Skyline-Graeter's collab, reactions flooded social media Tuesday and Wednesday.

Even U.S. vice presidential candidate JD Vance commented on X, writing , "President Trump and I will stop this."
