Liam Payne was a former member of the boy band One Direction and an English singer. According to the BBC , he first auditioned on "X Factor" as a solo act at the age of 14 in 2008 and again at 16 in 2010 before joining One Direction.

His debut solo album, "LP1," was released in late 2019 and featured the song "Strip That Down," his platinum-selling single.

He was working on his second album before he tragically died after falling from his hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2024.
