Meet Cincinnati's newest brewery

When I moved to Cincinnati last year, it took me approximately one week to notice the city has no shortage of breweries. Love it or hate it: Beer is the unofficial official drink of the Queen City .

So when I heard about the new brewery, Mellotone Beer Project , moving into the former home of Taft's Ale House in OTR, I was intrigued. With as saturated as the brewery scene here is, what could a new one possibly bring to the table?

To find out, I spoke with Mellotone's co-owners Dennis Kramer-Wine (a former director at Rhinegeist ), and Alexandra Nowell (a founding brewmaster at Los Angeles brewery Three Weavers ). They describe themselves as a "power couple" given Kramer-Wine's knowledge of the local beer scene and Nowell's wicked brewing skills.
