“Steak to the Lake” Meal Kits
Jeff Ruby Culinary Entertainment ’s new “Steak to the Lake” meal kits are available now through Labor Day. Each kit includes:

• Two 8-ounce filets
• Two 14-ounce strips
• Four 8-ounce burger patties
• Four brioche buns
• Four American cheese slices
• One 6-ounce can of Caruso’s Italian Giardiniera
• Two twice-baked potatoes (four halves)
• One ounce of bacon bits
• Two Jeff Ruby’s mac & cheese
• Two, 2-ounce Jeff Ruby’s seasoning

The kits, which cost $225, come in an insulated bag packed with ice packs for freshness and convenient transportation.

Augusta Distillery Launches Latest Bourbon
Augusta Distillery launches Buckner’s 17—the newest bourbon in its award-winning Buckner’s series—during its Buckner’s, BBQ and Bluegrass event from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. tomorrow, June 15. Guests will be able to purchase bottles of the 17-year-old, unfiltered bourbon (retail price: $399.99) while enjoying home-style barbeque from Rescue BBQ.

Seltzer Smash Returns
March First Brewing’s Seltzer Smash takes place from 11:30 a.m. to midnight tomorrow, June 15, at the brewery’s taproom in Blue Ash and on Fountain Square. Both locations will also have all of the regular flavors of Astra, March First’s hard seltzer brand, as well as flavors that are currently in production. Tasting tickets, which include 10 samples, can be purchased the day of the event for $30.

Cannoli for Father’s Day
Still need a Father’s Day gift? There’s still time to order some cannoli from Del Gardo’s in Covington. You can get five classic chocolate cannoli for $12.50 or four weekend flavors (Dirty Banana, Black Raspberry Chip, Limoncello, and Pistachio) for $16 and receive a Salted Caramel Bourbon cannoli for free. Salazar Moves Downtown
Jose Salazar’s eponymously named restaurant Salazar—which closed its Over-the-Rhine location at the end of last year—is getting another lease on life soon. The restaurant will reopen downtown by next spring in the old Saks Fifth Avenue space on Fifth Street. Salazar will continue to focus on fresh ingredients from local farmers and artisans, with an emphasis on seafood.

OTR Voted Among Best for Outdoor Dining
Over-the-Rhine was recently named one of 150 romantic locations for al fresco dining in 2024 by DatingAdvice.com. The site ran a survey of 3,000 respondents to identify the places that do outdoor dining right. “Known for its impressive 19th-century architecture, Over-the-Rhine is a revitalized area with a creative vibe, featuring craft breweries and artisanal eateries, perfect for a trendy, romantic night out.”
