The superstar quarterback suffered an uncommon wrist injury to his throwing hand last season and looked to do everything that he could to give himself the best possible chance of a quick recovery. After he had struggled to gain much information on what he could do to accelerate his rehabilitation, the 27-year-old started playing the instrument for the first time.
Burrow told Complex : "I’m learning the piano right now, hopefully I can get pretty good at that by next offseason. I guess it'll be pretty tough during the season, but it's helped my rehab too for my wrist... I've always wanted to learn how to play, but this was an opportune time to work on my hand and wrist dexterity while also learning that. So it was kind of the perfect storm."
Burrow is looking to do all he can to remain injury-free this year, after suffering four major injuries in his first four years in the league - missing 15 games.
Seen as one of the best quarterbacks in the league alongside Patrick Mahomes , Burrow has already taken the Bengals to a Super Bowl, with the team struggling last year after he went down with his season-ending injury.

He said: "Whenever the injuries start to stack up, your football mortality kind of comes into the back of your mind. So that's definitely something I've thought about and something I have had to fight through.
"That's something we're being more proactive about this year. We don't have to be ready to go in the middle of June. We have to be ready to go early September through February. That's how we're attacking this offseason and this rehab plan and these practices and training camp. We're attacking it like I want to be out there playing in February."
The Bengals had an impressive offseason this year, improving their offensive line through free agency and the draft in what will be a huge boost for Burrow and keeping him upright.
