Watch ‘American Idol’ Star Luke Bryan Lead ‘USA’ Chants at Cincinnati Show, Concluding a “Crazy Day”

Luke Bryan brought his Mind of a Country Boy Tour to Cincinnati, Ohio on Saturday, July 13, and mentioned the incident that occurred at the Philadelphia rally for former president Donald Trump. He addressed the crowd at Riverbend Music Center during the show, per a report from Cincinnati.

“Have y’all seen the pictures?” he asked the audience, adding, “It was a crazy day.” Bryan then launched into a chant of “USA,” and the crowd joined in.

Luke Bryan, for his part, is usually not open about his political views. However, he did receive backlash for inviting Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis on stage during a show in 2022.

“I typically don’t respond to stuff when I’m getting run down on a social platform but here’s the deal,” he wrote on social media following the incident at the time. “I understand Governor DeSantis is a very polarizing figure. But I grew up in a country where if a governor [asks] you if they can come and raise awareness to help victims of a natural disaster you help.”

Luke Bryan Previously Revealed That His Future on American Idol is Uncertain

In an interview with Billboard, Luke Bryan previously revealed that his and Lionel Richie’s futures aren’t set in stone. With Katy Perry leaving the show, there could be a complete shake-up of the judges table. However, Bryan still threw out the names of artists in talks to replace Perry before revealing his own fate.

According to Bryan, P!nk, Meghan Trainor, and Miley Cyrus are allegedly in the running to be the new American Idol judge. He then dropped the bombshell that he and Richie are also not guaranteed for season 23.

“We currently haven’t heard what the story is on who’s coming back, and if Lionel and I are coming back,” he revealed. “I think Disney is just trying to figure out what they want to do and we’re just kind of sitting back and waiting until they decide.”
