Cincinnati hospitals were impacted by the global Microsoft outages, and Cincinnati Children's canceled some patient appointments as a result.

All nonsurgical clinic and office appointments before 10 a.m. Friday, with the exception of radiology appointments, were canceled.

Patients with surgeries or radiology and other imaging appointments scheduled for Friday were told to come on time but were advised that delays were likely. Those with questions about their surgery can contact the Burnet Campus at 513-636-4517 or Liberty at 513-803-9820.

The hospital's urgent care and emergency departments remain open.

"Our teams are working hard to minimize disruption to patient care and system operations, and we are bringing systems back up as quickly as possible," the hospital's website said this morning.

Updates will be posted on the website and the hospital's social media channels.

Operations at other Cincinnati hospitals continue uninterrupted

Mercy Health uses a few Microsoft-based systems that have been minimally impacted, according to spokesperson Lisa Dyson, but the hospital's backup procedures have allowed its operations to continue as planned.

Services at UC Health, St. Elizabeth and Christ Hospital are continuing as scheduled today, as they were not directly impacted by the outages, according to representatives from the hospitals.
