Reds' Hunter Greene Continues Unreal Stretch On The Mound

    By Cole Sullivan,

The Cincinnati Reds are at their best when Hunter Greene is on the bump, and his stuff was on full display Monday night in a win over the Atlanta Braves 4-1.

Over Greene's last four starts, he has managed to maintain a 0.73 ERA. He has allowed just two earned runs over his last 24.2 innings pitched. An unreal stretch for the former 2nd overall pick.

The Reds ended a three-game skid, and in a much-needed win, Greene went 7.0 innings, allowing just two hits and zero runs while striking out seven in the process. His ERA is now down to 3.14 on the season, and he is 7-4 on the year for Cincinnati.

Greene was named to his first all-star game this season after his consistency has improved drastically compared to years past, and he seems to be finally turning the corner with the Reds still in the hunt for a NL wild card spot.
