    The dogfight continues in Burnet Woods

    Picture a neighborhood dog park . Ruff chases Rusty. Fiona runs aside Felix. Dog owners sip coffee and chat while their fur babies play nice.

    Not in the picture: Neighbor vs. neighbor vs. public officials in continued, contentious conversation over a park for pups.

    That's the reality in Clifton, now in the fourth year of debate over plans to install a dog park in Burnet Woods . Month after month, since 2020, opponents have pushed their points in emails, social media and public protests, overwhelming the pro-dog-park contingent.

    Last week, parks officials revised the Burnet Woods plan for a third time because of costs. The Park Board endorsed it – but with new caveats and reservations.
