    Cincinnati Music Festival 2024: See which roads will be closed Downtown this weekend

    The Cincinnati Music Festival will take over Downtown streets this weekend.

    The annual festival will take place July 25-27 and features performances from New Edition, Maxwell, Ne-Yo, Fantasia, and more on Friday and Saturday. A celebration of hip-hop concert will also take place at Andrew J. Brady Music Center on Thursday.

    In the past, the music festival has been the largest annual weekend driver of tourism in the area , which means several streets will close around Downtown to accommodate the event and safely manage crowds.

    If you're getting your groove on at the Cincinnati Music Festival or just traveling through downtown Cincinnati this weekend, here's what you should know.

    Cincinnati Music Festival road closures

    According to the City of Cincinnati, the following streets will be closed on Friday and Saturday during the times listed below:

    • Elm Street: Closedsouth of Second Street from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m.
    • Freedom Way: Closedbetween Elm Street and Marian Spencer Way starting at 2 a.m. on Thursday.
    • Race Street: Closed between Third Street and Second Street from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m.
    • Race Street: Closedsouth of Second Street starting at 2 a.m. on Thursday.
    • Rosa Parks Street: Closedsouth of Second Street at 2 a.m. on Thursday.
    • Joe Nuxhall Way: Closedsouth of Second Street from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m.

    The following streets will also close by 11 p.m. to allow attendees to exit the festival:

    • Central Avenue: Southbound closed south of Seventh Street.
    • Third Street: Eastbound closed east of Clay Wade Bailey Bridge.
    • Walnut Street: Closed south of Third Street.
    • Gest Street: Southbound closed south of Third Street.

    Cincinnati Police Department officers will be on-site to help maintain pedestrian and motorist safety. Motorists are advised to be cautious around the event and to seek alternate routes if possible.
