Coney Island may be gone, but its popular holiday tradition will live on in a new home.

In December 2023, in the middle of the season of its drive-thru holiday lights show, Nights of Lights, Coney Island announced it would be closing permanently after being sold to Music & Event Management Inc. (MEMI), a subsidiary of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, to make way for a new, state-of-the-art music venue. The closure left many wondering what would happen to some of Coney's most popular events, including Nights of Lights.

[content-3] Nights of Lights will return for its ninth season after all, moving about a 25-minute drive east of Coney Island to the Clermont County Fairgrounds in Owensville, Ohio. The show will still offer around 2 million lights synchronized to beloved holiday songs, according to a press release.

Nights of Lights will run from Saturday, Nov. 23 to Sunday, Jan. 5. Organizers say more information, including show and ticket package details, will be released in the coming weeks. You can get the latest information on Cincinnati's Nights of Lights' Facebook page .
