A brand new music festival dedicated to experimental music is set to take over parts of downtown Cincinnati and Northside in September.

Whited Sepulchre Records, a small-run vinyl and tape label in Cincinnati focused on experimental and ambient music is hosting the inaugural Talk Low Music Festival from Sept. 24-29 at various locations in Downtown, Over-the-Rhine and Northside.

According to a press release, the artists performing at the Talk Low Music Festival represent a number of genres, including ambient, jazz, indie rock, electronic and "all the genre shadings in between." The festival features acts from all over the world (including many from Cincinnati), like new-age/ambient artist Laraaji, Kenyan electronic artist KMRU, Peruvian turntablist/sound artist Maria Chavez and “emo-ambient” pioneer claire rousay.

"Talk Low’s mission is to provide unique contexts for deep listening and thoughtful engagement with music," organizers said in a press release. "As a new music festival in Ohio, Talk Low fuses the high concept approach of festivals like Big Ears with Midwest D.I.Y energy and roots."
