One man is dead after a house fire in Carthage Sunday afternoon, the Cincinnati Fire Department said.
CFD said they were dispatched to a house fire in the 6000 block of Rosewood Street around 3:20 p.m.
Firefighters found a two-story house with an active fire on the second floor. According to a media release, CFD was also told that a man was trapped on the second floor.
Although firefighters were able to have the "main body of the fire" extinguished in approximately 10 minutes, one person died from exposure to heat and smoke, according to a media release.
The man's identity has yet to be released.
No other injuries were reported but three adults were displaced from the home.
According to the release, the estimated damage was $45,000.
Forty-nine firefighters responded to the house fire.
CFD has not determined the cause of the fire.
