Motorcyclist dies in crash on Blalock Road
HOUSTON, Texas — A 29-year-old man died in a motorcycle crash on Blalock Road Saturday evening, according to Houston police. The man, whose identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences, was riding a red Yamaha YZF-R1 motorcycle northbound when he lost control and struck the curb of a center median. The motorcycle landed on the grassy area of the median, and Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the man deceased at the scene, according to a press release from the Houston Police Department.

For decades, the agency has followed a 100-year floodplain standard—an area that has a 1% chance of flooding in a given year. Texas Man Pleads Guilty to International Money Laundering Conspiracy; Victims Include the Worcester County Treasurer’s Office
A guilty plea by 42 year old Jon Briceno of Katy, Texas. The US Attorney for the District of Maryland and Worcester County Sheriff Matt Crisafulli say Briceno pleaded guilty on Friday, July 19th, to conspiracy to commit money laundering. Officials say he laundered over $8.7-million in proceeds of various frauds – including romance schemes and business email compromise schemes – one of his victims – the Worcester County Treasurer’s Office. Briceno faces a maximum possible sentence of 20 years in prison followed by up to three years of supervised release. Sentencing is set for October 24th.
