When the Pickaway County Jr. Fair officially ended Sunday, close to 20,000 people attended the fair that has been held annually at the fairgrounds since 1945 — 79 years of heritage. The weeklong fair featured rides, entertainment, a rodeo, harness races, a livestock show, and a visit by Lt. Governor Jon Husted who announced state funding for ongoing projects to improve the fairgrounds.
Fire at Circleville Wastewater Plant extinguished quickly
There was a fire around lunchtime Tuesday at the Circleville Wastewater Treatment Plant at 779 W Main Street. With this location being on the west side of the Scioto River in Wayne Township, the Southwest Pickaway Fire District in Williamsport was the first response team to be notified. Budget surpluses pave way for capital improvements at Logan Elm
