    Circleville man charged with assault

    A Circleville man was charged with felonious assault after he allegedly stabbed someone in Vinton County.

    Vinton County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a stabbing around 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Wyman Park in McArthur.

    The victim was transported by Vinton County EMS and later flown to Grant Hospital in Columbus to be treated for their injuries, according to VCSO. The person’s name has not been released to the media.

    The suspect fled, later identified as Bradley Day, 32, of Circleville, fled on foot and was believed to be picked up in a vehicle, according to VCSO.

    Day was apprehended by deputies shortly after the incident at a residence in Allensville.

    The knife used in the incident was found in a yard near Wyman Park by deputies.

    Day was transported to Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail, and charged with Felonious Assault and Tampering with Evidence. A bond hearing is expected to be held in Vinton County Court this week.
