In Circleville, the skyline is dominated by the charmingly iconic Pumpkin Water Tower, a symbol of the city’s famed Pumpkin Show. Nestled right under this beloved landmark is Health Care Logistics (HCL), a company that, much like the Pumpkin Tower, stands tall and proud.

HCL is leading the way in light manufacturing, packaging, and distributing unique and hard-to-find products — many of them being essential to hospitals and the healthcare industry.

HCL was recently awarded Top Workplace Honors from Columbus CEO in the “Midsize Organization” category. Out of the 120 companies submitted and over 30,000 respondents’ recommendations, only eighty-four companies were recognized.

This award was particularly significant as it was based solely on employee feedback.

“If we take care of our people, then they can take care of our customers, and our customers will come back,” President Bethany Reid said.

Since HCL’s creation in 1978, the company has grown to over three hundred employees, with locations in Circleville, Urbancrest, and Grove City. HCL services all the United States with distributors in multiple countries, and proudly supplies all the hospitals in the Columbus area.

HCL boasts a 900-page catalog with over 9,000 products. If customers can’t find what they need, HCL has a dedicated team to help source hard-to-find items. Their comprehensive range of products and exceptional customer service have cemented HCL’s reputation as a reliable partner in the healthcare logistics industry.

Beyond their business operations, HCL is deeply committed to supporting the community. They sponsor little league teams, local school athletic and music boosters, and actively participate in career exploration programs in local schools. These initiatives not only foster community spirit but also encourage the development of future talent.

HCL’s employees are the most important part of their business. The company promotes a positive work-life balance, organizes employee events, and even offers a “rainy day fund” to help employees save for unexpected life expenses. This focus on employee well-being is a key factor in HCL receiving the Top Workplace award from Columbus CEO.

Health Care Logistics is a great part of Circleville’s economy, and a shining example of how local businesses can drive community growth and industry innovation. As HCL continues to expand and succeed, Circleville can look forward to a prosperous future with economic opportunities and recognition. Congratulations on your Top Workplace Award, Health Care Logistics!
