CIRCLEVILLE — At the fair on Tuesday, kids aged three to eight years old got to compete in an exciting competition: the Kiddie Tractor Pull.

The kids braved the heat and humidity to give their all on the amphitheater stage. The event was broken up into three age groups, 3-4, 5-6, and 7-8. The goal for the Kiddie Tractor Pull?

To take the tractor as far as possible, with a full pull being 30 feet. This may seem like an easy task, but as the kids got further on the stage, the tractor became heavier, making the seemingly easy task a bit more difficult.

This didn’t discourage the young competitors as they had a blast trying to get as far as they possibly could.

Each age group had their top three finishers. Everyone in the top three received a certificate, a trophy, and qualified for the National Kiddie Tractor Pull which takes place next March.

Before the fun event wrapped up, there were two raffle drawings to see which lucky boy and girl would win a brand new bike. The raffle was sponsored by the Circleville Kiwanis Club.

Round two of the Kiddie Tractor Pull at the Pickaway County Fair will take place on Thursday at 1 p.m. in the amphitheater.
