(The Center Square) – Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker signed 68 bills Friday that affect drivers, those who violate immigration laws, victims of child abuse, mobile homes and more. One Way Singers to make final performance Sunday
The One Way Singers will make its final performance on Sunday at the morning worship service at the 1st Baptist Church on West Main Street in Salem. Two face aggravated battery to police officer charges following separate incidents
Two people have been charged in Marion County Court with separate aggravated battery incidents involving Centralia Police. 28-year-old Haley Nardone of West Warmouth in Salem was charged with aggravated battery for allegedly striking an officer in the head with a cup of water in an incident last Thursday. Police encountered Nardone when investigating a battery complaint. Nardone has also been charged with resisting or obstructing a police officer for allegedly refusing to have her hands placed in handcuffs.

Prysmian, the world’s largest cable manufacturer, took over the Du Quoin plant from General Cable in 2018. Now, the company is making a major investment in Du Quoin, to the tune of $63.8 million to expand production, add employees, and ensure the plant’s future in Southern Illinois.
