Overnight Vehicle Pursuit Ends in Arrest on Eastex Freeway

HOUSTON, TX (June 7, 2024) – According to HCSO via X, Harris County Sheriff's Office (HCSO) units were involved in a vehicle pursuit that began around midnight at the 12500 block of North Freeway and concluded approximately 50 minutes later at the intersection of Eastex Freeway and Little York Road.

The pursuit started when HCSO units attempted to stop a vehicle at the North Freeway location. The driver fled, leading officers on a prolonged chase. The pursuit ended at about 12:50 a.m. when the driver voluntarily surrendered at the Eastex Freeway and Little York Road intersection.

Both the driver and any passengers were apprehended and detained without further incident. Further details about the individuals involved or the reasons for the initial stop were not immediately available.
