League City Police Respond to Gunshots, One Deceased, One in Custody

League City, TX - According to the League City Police Department, on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at approximately 7:23 p.m., the League City Police Department received several calls regarding multiple gunshots being fired in the 2900 block of Paisley Meadow Drive. LCPD dispatch advised officers they could hear people screaming in the background. LCPD officers, as well as several LCPD SWAT Officers who were working at a special event, responded to the area.

Upon arrival, officers were directed to a residence in the 2900 block of Paisley Meadow Drive and were informed the gunshots came from the house. Officers then made an exigent entry into the house to preserve life. Officers located an adult male armed with a handgun and a deceased male also in the backyard. The armed male was taken into custody, and the other male was pronounced deceased at the scene.
