Contractor Rescued After Fracturing Leg on Construction Site

HOUSTON, TX - June 10, 2024 – A contractor is recovering after firefighters with the Houston Fire Department rescued them.

According to the Houston Professional Firefighters Association, Emergency responders from T006, E006, and A007 were called to assist a contractor who suffered a fractured leg on the fifth floor of an apartment building under construction.

The crews utilized a Tower 6 stokes basket to safely lower the injured contractor to the ground, where a waiting ambulance transported him to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

At this point it is not clear how exactly the contractor was hurt, but they are expected to be okay.
