Woman arrested after assaulting victim with steel toe boot

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (June 11, 2024) – According to Harris County Constable Precinct 3, Day shift deputies were dispatched to the 11930 block of Coral Reef Drive in reference to a family disturbance call. Upon arrival, deputies met with the victim who stated that Yuliza Mendoza became belligerent and irate, then grabbed two 8-inch kitchen knives and began making threats towards the victim. The victim also stated Mendoza used a steel toe boot to hit them in the forearm, leaving visible injuries. Additionally, Mendoza damaged the victim's vehicle as they were attempting to leave the residence.

Deputies contacted the Harris County District Attorney's office and obtained charges of "aggravated assault with a deadly weapon" against Mendoza. Deputies transported and booked Yuliza Mendoza in the Harris County Jail without incident.
