Major Collision in League City Shuts Down SH 3

League City, TX (June 11, 2024): According to the League City Police Department, League City Police Officers are investigating a major collision involving three motor vehicles in the 1000 block of N SH 3, just South of the League City and Webster border.

At approximately 8:13 p.m., the League City Police Department was notified of a major collision in the 1000 block of N SH 3. Due to its proximity to Webster’s jurisdiction, the Webster Police Department and Webster Fire Department also responded to the collision to assist. Upon the arrival of first responders, it was discovered that three vehicles were involved, two sedans and a pickup truck.

The driver and passenger of one of the sedans, as well as the driver of the truck, were quickly transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. The driver and passenger of the other sedan, along with the passenger of the truck, were treated and released at the scene.

Northbound and southbound lanes have been and are still completely shut down at the scene of the accident. The League City Crash Team is on scene conducting a thorough investigation into the cause of the accident.
