Detectives quickly determined that a single individual had parked Davila's vehicle at a local business before fleeing the scene on foot. An extensive investigation ensued, with detectives securing additional video footage from area businesses. This footage, combined with a thorough victimology investigation, led to the identification of an unnamed person of interest. Further investigation and evidence collection resulted in an arrest warrant for Hugo Zuniga (H/M, 5/14/87).

On June 11, 2024, at approximately 4 PM, officers conducted surveillance in the area of 2500 Lynnfield St., in Houston. In coordination with the Pasadena Police Violent Crimes Division, officers from the Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force located and arrested Hugo Zuniga. Zuniga was transported to the Pasadena Police Department and, following an interview, was charged with the murder of Jesus Davila III.

why did they use the VICTIM'S mugshot and not a normal photo of him? His arrest record or past choices doesn't make him any less than a victim in this case. Using his mugshot dehumanized him in this article, and I think that's not right at all.
