One person is dead after house fire in south Houston

Houston, TX - June 13, 2024 - According to the Houston Fire Department, the Houston Fire Department is on the scene at 3610 Thistle St. where a house fire has been extinguished. This is in the Holloway Heights subdivision in south Houston near Scott Street.

Unfortunately, the Houston Fire Department reported that there was one civilian fatality. The Houston Fire Department Arson team is currently investigating the cause of the fire to determine exactly what happened so there is limited information at this time.

The public is advised to avoid the area due to heavy emergency traffic.
